My 2006 Kia Rio stalled out while driving and wont start again

My 06 Kia Rio stalled while I was driving the other day.  It would crank but not turn over. I went out the next morning to try to start it again and the battery was completely drained and it is a brand new battery roughly 6 months old.  Someone looked at it for me and cant seem to tell me what the problem is.  He checked the spark plugs, fuses, fuel pump etc.  I cant afford to just spend money on parts to see if this or that is wrong.  Can someone please help? Thanks so much

What do you mean by stalled? What exactly stopped working and did you get it started after it stalled

Have you checked the voltage from alternator? Also sounds like you could have a parasitic drain on your battery. Battery light on? Diode in alternator could be bad letting battery voltage go back into alternator instead of one way from alternator to battery.
