It could that cam sensor, but normally it would throw the check engine light, I would definitely check the fuel pressure, but first I would change the fuel filter so you dont get a bad reading....

Yes, there would be a check engine light, and scanning for codes would point you in the right direction. But if you have a fuel pressure issue with the spider injection assembly, or the fuel pump, it would not throw a code. Check the fuel pressure, it should be 56 to 63 lbs, and then with the key off, see if the gauge drops. If it is more than 5 lbs in 3 min. then it is in the fuel injection assembly.

ok guys i replaced the cam sensor and thefuel presuure is fine i reset my ecm by unpluging the battery for a hour and so on... the check engine light is still on and the codes that are being threw are p1345 cam shaft to crankshaft positoin corrilation malfunktion lol i canst spell lolsorryy what do i do about reseting or syncing these 2 componets

You may have to set the timing with a scanner. Timing only has a 2° window to fall in, in-order for the timing correlation between the crank sensor and cam sensor.

ok so the distibutor may be off i took it out all the way i did not mark it at all sooo i did some homework and reset the distributor with the 8 cylender i cant spell sorry and the truck cranked it runs now but the light is still on ....the 2degree variable i did not know about but i understand the concept do i have to have a tool to sync this shit

ok so i have to find a scanner ok so if i just run the truck will it mess it up like will it kill it like no more motor lol

the distributor is ok i replaced the cap rotor and the cam sensor the teeth on the gears are all fine and it berings are stable and oiled fine ...it spins ok... lol sorry just saying it like that cuz every one els beside you guys seem to be dumb lol sorry

shit im broke lol do i have to have a scanner to sync all this is there a way to build one i built the pressur tool witch was basic but you get the idea

I'm back, I was on the shitter, your a barrel of laughs....I'll post right after this...

Ok, had to absorb your info...so are there any timing marks down on the crank pulley? I can't remember. I was thinking of trying a timing light. But the scanner is the way to go. It has to be a good scanner capable of doing this, reading the timing as it is running while you set the distributor. Also with the scanner the rpm's have to be held above 1000 rpm while setting the timing. I know there are videos on You Tube on how to take care of the p1345 timing correlation.

it runs smooth like no jerking laggin i cant even hear the truc run a a red light its like silk and it hasent died sence but the light and code are still there...lol barrel of loughs ive been called alot of things never thats mang lol thnx tho for all your help i just love this truck and it works all the 4 wheel drive all the window and now aftr i tested every wire i coled find ...fo ..ohm.... the radio started working on the spakrs on the passenger side lol if i dont fix this will it kill my truck

sorry its late i just said fuck and got drunk lol jack and cokelol so this truck need to be taken to a shop ...cuz .. i dont have the extra money to buy scanner.....and they can sync the dis../crank/cam all in sync like its suppose to be...i did try lol thnx again and i wish i couled help you in some way imma buy a truck with income tax lol but i ay just do an ls1 swap for this truck... either way i gotta get a vehicle mang

the Ls1 swap is 5 grand lol wow ... i might not do the new crate motor lol im a poor boy lol sux but true if i let this engine run lik it is will it shit on me ....i know it might throw timing after a while ....i think....but will it kill this truck or shouled i just spend my taxes and buy a new setup

oh and i dont trust youtube lol sorry dumb ass kids with no parents that care i think but ill look it up ...DONT KNOCK IT BEFORE YOU TRY IT I SUPPOSE

Well I had my rest, I'm an early bird now, and thats the spirit, keep up the good attitude. The scanner is the most accurate way to set the timing but if there are timing marks down there I'm sure you can find a timing light. Although sometimes timing marks themselves can be inaccurate, like on my '95 Silverado, there 4° off from TDC. Just try the timing light, clear the code, see what happens. Oh ya, I have seen some videos on you tube that just aint right when it comes to mechanics. Just have to have the experience to decipher threw what is right and wrong on these... there are the correct ones out there. Give me a click or two hey....
