Starting problems

I have 2001 gmc sierra 1500  5.3 4wD don't crank
don't star, please help me!!!!!

Ok so you turn the key and doesn't do anything right? You'll need a test light for this. Check your battery terminals make sure they are clean, tight and reading 12volts or more. (With key on) check power to fuse and relay You should have power to both. If you have power to that go to starter and check the little wire (Signal wire from ignition) located on solenoid. It should flash everytime someone turns key to starts the car. If it flashes your starter could be burnt out.

Now if you do not know how to test relay just rest your hand on starter relay and have someone turn key. You should feel a clicking in relay. That means its working
