Gremlins in my electronics

Can anyone tell me why, when some days I leave my car parked somewhere,
and when I return the boot lid is up. The catch has released itself. Once, all 4
doors were magically unlocked and the 4 windows were wound down.  Any
ideas anyone.  (other than fairies playing silly buggers)

    When place the gear in drive "D" the car does not move. But if i move the gear stick to "4" it moves. If i move it to "4" and then back to "D" it will drive. But it wont drive if i move the gear stick...
