#2 question----will a timing belt break while running cause valve damage?

usually it has a timing chain.. it is normally good til 80k miles to 90kmiles. and if it broke it will cause valve damage.

thanks for info..just got the 95 custom,,the 1st stop will be for a new chain and serp belt..
