Have your alternator and battery tested, low voltage can wreak havoc on any vehicle and most Mercedes are extremely sensitive to voltage/resistance fluctuations.

Could be the body control module then or at the very least (and hopefully) just a bad ground. Bad grounds can cause a host of issues also as it wont allow the current to flow properly. I hate to say it but im sure Mercedes-Benz is the only facility that can do a proper, im depth scan of your vehicle

Make sure to have BOTH batteries tested. I suspect that your auxiliary battery has failed based on what you have described.
