does the car have power, as in battery connected, and a proper supply of voltage?

car has power battery full cranks up and runs fine .We were leaving hospital and trunk wouldn't close with any of the buttons had to close manually and only way to open is with valet key.trunk motor does not run

ON THE LEFT HINGE THERE ARE UNPROTECTED WIRES KNOWN TO GET PINCHED OVER A COURSE OF USAGE. IT TOOK MINES 4 YEARS TO FINALLY GET THE PROBLEM. ITS A SIMPLE FIX AND IF YOURE CARE IS STILL UNDER WARANTY THEN IT'S A FREE FIX. HOPE THIS HELPS

E320 2003 the battery is in the trunk and dead and the trunk is not even open with the orignal key as well and i dont know where to give jump from the hood so whats the solution please.
