My dodge nitro won't rev over 2000 rpm

2007 dodge nitro ( have had less then one month!!!) I need help the car will not rev of 2000 rpm in park or drive starts fine and runs fine other then will not go over 2000 rpm? any help would be nice

Ok got it just had to replace the battary, everything works great now
