Fluid issues in my 2007 Audi A4 2.0T

Asked by Zmoss Jan 14, 2017 at 07:42 AM about the 2007 Audi A4 2.0T quattro Sedan AWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I just bought my 2007 Audi A4 2.0T a couple
months ago.  As I have been operating it these last
couple months I have been getting low coolant and
low oil indicators from the car.  I have already
added  1 and a half containers of coolant to the
reservoir.  I had my old changed as soon as I got
the car. I received a min. oil indicator prior to the
change and now almost 3000 miles after the
change I just received it again.  After getting the
indicator prior to changing it I checked my oil and it
was at the min. line on the dip stick so I added a
quart to get me to my oil change.  My engine temp
has been good and everything else is alright. I don't
see any leaks anywhere. I am just wondering why I
have to keep adding these fluids because I know it
is not normal to have to do it this much.  I want this
car to last as long as possible so if there is any
existing or potential problem I would like to fix it
asap. Thank you for your help.

if you are loosing fluids that fast you have a leak. look on your drive way you will likely see oil and anti freeze all over it from your car. get your car to a VW/Audi Specialist shop as soon as you can and have it looked at. and fyi the 2 most common leaks is a 4 point flang on the drivers side of the engine for antifreeze. If its leaking there you will see a bunch of white drystuff and as for oil there is always a possibility its leaking from a cam seal depending on the miles this is the likely leak area other then a bad seal under the car.

I bought an Audi A4 2.0T 2007 in 2010. I need oil every 1000 miles. Audi said, it's normal for this to happen. I saw that this year and model can have oil issues. As for Anti Freeze, I had to fill last year and is this month. Audi said, I may have a leak because it shouldnt do that. I read differently. So, I just added anti freeze. Good luck.

Can anyone identify this line for me? I have an oil leak coming from it but can’t seem to figure out what it’s called. Just got my oil changed less than 400 miles ago.
