Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I was pulling through the gears to get on highway, 3rd seemed to have a slipping feel
near the top and 4th, between 3 and 6 thousand, felt like the car was revving but not
picking up much speed. On my way back after turning around I did the same thing and
the car felt like every gear pulled as it should... Even did extra pulls in 4th to make sure.
Thoughts?? 5th gear was solid too. didn't get to 6th... it has 75k miles. Just want to
make sure the turbo or something else isn't gonna go if I buy this. Timing belts also
haven't been changed. he said that happens around 85k miles? is this correct?

The RPM's went up and it reminded me of a slipping clutch on my STi. but it seemed fine after that happened. is this normal? I don't have any trans mechanic friends... I even did a pull up a hill and the rpm thing didn't happen.
