Head lights shut off on their own

driving at night headlights will shut off. Ican
manually hold the dimmer on brights an they
work . Seems like they have a mind of their
own ! Any ideas would be greatly
appreciated

Very common problem, there's actually a recall for it, but recall doesn't cover all years. However, this problem DOES affect all years. The newest updated relay # is GM13506836, which is now affordable. When it first came out, it was $100+. It's #46 in the fuse box under the hood.
