Spedometer not reading correctly

Asked by Jennifer Jan 03, 2017 at 02:54 PM about the 2005 Buick Park Avenue FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

As strange as it sounds my spedometer stopped
reading correctly after I had my oil changed. It now
reads about 20 mph over what it should. What do I
do?

You will need to have someone get under there and check the transmission speed sensor, and the vehicle speed sensor. It may be unplugged or just needs to be replaced. Just go to your trusted shop to service this.
