cutting out problems

i have a '88 mighty max sport and it starts to cut out between 2 and 3 grand shifting from third to fourth gear. Does anyone have any ideas on what it could be.

Check the fuel pressure. I have an 89 that had a lot of problems running well. I put a low pressure electric pump on it and that cured mine.
