Chevy blazer ignition switch question

Can I take a later model Chevy blazer ignition
switch and use it to replace a faulty one in a 1997
Chevy blazer ?

96 and 97 were the only ones without the pass-key system. The newer ones won't work. A 95 might be the same but I'm not sure
