I just got a 1998 Volvo S70 T5. When I have the ignition in the intermediate position, the fan from AC goes on, but then turns off. Even when the car is started, and fan speed is up at maximum, it does not come on. Any ideas?

I wonder if you have automatic dual climate control? one of the sensors might be triggering this to happen

Your fan blower is going bad, or the resistor pack is going bad. Both are very easy to replace. Does your fan work on other settings?
