2004 Volvo c70 dash lights won't stay on after I turn lights on at night

When I go drive at night I turn on the
head lights they work fine but the
dash lights flicker and won't stay on

it is my opinion that it is either the headlight switch or you dash light dimmer switch is failing. A trick I used with a similar situation was I puchased electrical contact cleaner, spayed it into the problem part, then worked it back and forth and eveything was fine after that. I would give that a try if I were you.

Thanks I installed a new headlight switch and it works great it was a little tricky pulling old light switch out I do not own a boning tool which gets between the trim and the part but used a flat knife so I would not mare the trim and it worked fine you have to take your time
