Factory drive belts are too long and oil sending unit has no wire

Asked by robertwf846 Dec 28, 2014 at 02:35 PM about the 2006 Pontiac GTO Coupe

Question type: General

The front engine block # is VF060240173. Is this the correct engine for a 2006 GTO

1 Answer

A previous owner had put an undersized harmonic balancer/pulley on it, which made it necessary to use longer belts. They also had drilled and tapped the plate above the filter to screw in a sendind unit, but had no wires or gauge to hook it up.
