Does it start throwing coolant in just a minute or two, or do you have to wait for it? If it starts throwing coolant very quickly then you have a internal engine problem, most likely it blew a side housing seal, if you have to wait for it then it could be a thermostat or a flow reduction through the radiator, even a water pump if the impellers are corroded off. If it's leaking gas then you need to find out where, these don't normally do that unless something is damaged, fuel line, regulator, injector. What do the gauges read when this happens? Is there a check engine light on?
