no start sounds like timing chain does anything else act like timing chain?

years ago timing chains were common in gm cars that has changed unless the van has been abused I doubt that the chain has jumped . An easy test is to do a compression check. If it is low or zero then that is your problem but if your compression is 110+ then look elsewhere if chain has jumped that is an interference engine and it would bend valves
