93 mx-3 ticking tranny

I just bought a 93 mazda mx-3 , for $250 clean title4 cyc. The previous owner  said they heard a ticking sound only when they would turn the wheel, thet replaced the cv axels and it still made the sound. Then he  was backing out the driveway, Please help, Thank you

My car has had a ticking noise for some time...it appears to be a sticky valve. Oil changes help for a short time.
