I would say it depends if the key is still in the ignition or not. Please clarify further!

IT STILL FLASHES EVEN WHEN THE KEY IS NOT IN THE IGNITION AND THE ENGINE IS OFF

Does the car start/drive with the light flashing? Have you tried disconnecting the battery, leaving it for half an hour and then plugging it back in? Sometimes the internal computer will just freak out a bit.

WHEN I DRIVE THE CAR IT DOESN'T FLASH ONLY WHEN I TURN OFF THE IGNITION IT DOES THAT. HAVEN'T DISCONNECT THE BATTERY BUT I WILL GIVE IT A TRY

If the car starts and drives then I'd say you're fine, unless the light is flashing 24/7 and draining the battery slightly.

update on the 2006 Mazda 6 apparently the immobolizer lights does come on when the ignition switch is off and that seems to be the norm for this type model.
