98 chevy blazer

so yesterday my car ran just fine yesterday and on the way to my daughters
dads place which is half a hr away. i went to the gas station and then it wouldnt
go faster than 50 then slowly i could barely go 20. my rmps was going higher
than 3 nd making a vrooming noice but only when i hit the gas hard. advice?

my brother did a code on it and the one for transission slipping popped up hes hoping it will be resolved with a small part hes going to let me know im a single mom i cant be without a car i just need it to last til tax season
