what are those fumes I smell in my 2000 Passat wagon?

Smells like oil... I see some fumes emanating from wheel wells at the stop light when I first start driving...

you probly have a blown cam seal open your hood and look for any signs of oil dripage at the back of the engine onto the exaust pipes.
