had front tie rod replaced they said i needed to get an alignment did not yet my car will not go over 5-10 mpr and it is sputtering what could this be

nope your car is in limp mode meaning you have another serious issue else where. Take your car to a vw/audi specialist and have it scanned. most regular garages do not have the do not have the right equipment to properly diagnose your car so be sure its a vw/audi specialist or the audi/ vw dealer that scans your car.
