Alarm and fuel

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

First things first! On the 15th of July I had my fuel
pump replaced. A week later I had a 1/2 tank of
gas. I put $10 in...then all of a sudden my gas
plummets. My light turns on. The guy who did it
came and looked at it. He tinkered with it and Wala
I was back to the full tank. Then tonight it did it
again. What is going on. I know I have gas in my
car. How do I remedy this??

I would have gone to a shop mechanic who knows that make model. Not a guy some Jim Bob off street. I have had 2 beetle. What I did when my fuel was not working right just count your odometer 200 miles every top off and babysit until you find a shop who can fix it properly. Avoid dealer. It's a pain yes, but it works. Done my x

Your instrument cluster has separate steppers .whats a stepper you might ask ?a stepper is what powers each individual gauge in your instrument cluster. Find somebody that knows how to solder Electronics.have them take a small wire brush and clean the back of the stepper and then resolder the contacts
