how to change cloth seats to leather

Asked by wallnoker Dec 06, 2006 at 03:39 AM about the 1999 Chevrolet Tahoe LT 4-Door 4WD

Question type: Car Customization

I have regular cloth seats in my tahoe,a friend gave me a whole set
of leather seats out of a suburban in great condition the problem is
the seat frames are a little different for the rear seat mounts.
What I'm really wanting to know is can i change seat and back cushion
off one frame to another exp, suburban to tahoe?

I'm a little confused by your question. These seats should be compatible with one another. They are marketed together, such as here: http://www.precisionfit.com/index.php?load=catalog&page=index&op=product_view&product_id=1131&year=1997 In the case that they are incompatible, I would be more inclined to hire a professional seamstress to make it fit than trying to switch out the entire seat. It will be much less expensive, and safer.
