High idle

Hi I have a 2006 jetta 2.5 that at times it will not high idle when the car starts .but some times When it does it will go to 1200 rpm which
is supposed to be . but mine will not go pass 9oo rpm and lower most of the time

the idle is set by the computer and is based on conditions, If it thinks its warm enough maybe it wont idle it high like when its cold. If it ever gets cold where ever your from. I wouldnt think this to be a problem as long as it runs smooth and no cel or other driveability issues.

HI It runs very good at all time the odd time it will shuters for a splite second but other then that its very good tks. it get cold up here just noth of Toronto Ont. AT below or above freezing it will idle high and other time it will not go pass 900 rpm From what you say that can be nomal i guest TKS again Dell

For a 2013 jetta how much should it be idle at before taking it to the dealer it was smooth and couldn't feel when it was on . Now I feel it and it's ruff

I have a 2013 Jetta se 2.5 idles high & gas mileage is very low.
