First thing I would do is put a new battery in your fob. The dealers say only they can do it, but I took mine to RadioShack and they fixed it right up.

Hi Lionel,1) When the car's 12v battery is replaced all the locks and windows improve in response to FOB 2)Douse the latch with lithium lube or other type even the key hole 3) Remove the multi pin connector and apply electrical contact cleaner Sometimes these measures might restore proper operation.

The trunk lock actuator May need to be replaced. Mine did. I tried to rebuild it, I got it to work for about 2 or 3 times butI The white plastic lost its stiffness And kept letting the spring slip the gear. It's a white plastic box With wires coming in and a black piston coming out.

You can replace the battery on your 2013 Jetta fob by simply popping the cover open, go to homedepot or radio shack and ask for the CR2032 3 volt battery.

I replaced trunk lock checked fuses the horn and boot trunk and number plate licence is not working

The FOB signal might be too weak.Try opening it and put a new lithium battery.Looks like a dime . Make sure the right side is up .and that the type is the same.

Put new batteries twice in both keys and still it only works sometimes with keyfob in pocket. Is the reciever weak in the trunk? Or is it a key manufacturing problem? Or did they weaken it for security but its too weak?
