Any tricks to get into a 2003 Jetta?

I'm in a bit of a weird situation. Someone tried to
break in to my car at some point and messed up
the driver doors key entry so I can't open my door
with my key. Now my car is dead and the fob
doesn't work so the only thing I can access is my
trunk because the key works in that keyhole. So my
question is: how do I get into the car or at least into
the hood to boost it or plug it in?
