Jetta engine got wet

Had a lot of dust in the engine compartment so we lightly sprayed it off, now car wont start? Is it spark plugs?

You should first disconnect your battery cables and keep the terminals from contacting the posts. Clean and dry the posts and terminals. Next label all the spark plug wires then remove them and dry the ends. Next Mark your distributor cap for placement, remove it and dry it. Remove the rotor button, dry it, replace it. Use some dielectric compound when reconnecting everything. Replace the distributor cap, the plug wires, and finally the battery terminals and crank it up.
