Clutch ch problems / shift stick

Asked by mhu Apr 29, 2010 at 01:09 AM about the 2001 Volkswagen Jetta GLS Wolfsburg Edition

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Dear all,

In hot weather conditions or stop and go the clutch failed several times. The pedal sticks to the ground and the stick does not move. Car still drives in gear.  Air reales helps, the pedal comes back. Diagnosis in dealership came to no conclusion. Maf sensor has been replaced, Breakfluids have been flushed recently. Problem occured before and after.
Mileage is 8900.
Have you had a similar problem?
Thanks,

M

Check the master cylinder to see if it's drooling.. If not then i would go with a faulty slave cylinder.
