Car is major over heating and I cant figure out why. I am at a place where I am about to call a wrecker to come get it. Here is what Ive done thus far trying to remedy the problem. Entire new cooling system including heater core, (that was fun), new heater hoses, thermostat, water pump, coolant temp sensor and timing belt while I was to the water pump. Timing set 10deg BTDC, new timing belt tensioner idler pulley. Verifed water flow from the return line at the tank, so water is flowing thru my system. Car runs sweet while its cold, no codes, verified both inlet and out hoses to new heater core are hottish, again water is flowing. Water is also remaining in the system, not leaking out anywhere that I can see or find, or better said im not having to refill the tank. What have I mised?

wrong thermostat ...not opening when it should ..or you installed it in backwards
kinda hard to install a thermo backwards and its opening at 170 on my stove top. Anyone else???
check and see if there is any emissions coming out of the water with it running. emission gas tester...any good shop can check it.
Head gasket? A 20 year old car with problems is certainly a candidate for the junk yard.
no hydrocarbons present in cooling system to indicate head gasket,,thanks for the input tho
kk guys im going to mark this as solved and hopefully my oversite can help someone else. I deserve to have a big DUH stamped on my forehead. You see simply put I was tearing this cooling system down so many times that the coolant costs were killing me. On the last attempt I ran str8 water in my system and over looked the fact that I had no coolant in the system.So Ill bet yall a 6 pack of rolled tacos and a corona that this ones a wrap. Moral to the story is dont be a dumbass and forget the coolant and not expect your car not to overheat.
on a side note if any of yall need transmission work and are in the Bay Area look no further..
