no crank the starter won't turn there is nothing...battery is fine

I turn my key over but I do not get anything. The key turns but I have nothing
happening, yet the lights all work.

Check battery voltage, should be 12.4 minimum. Clean the battery terminals, check the battery cables for corrosion and make sure they're tight. If everything looks ok, check to see if you're getting voltage to starter solenoid small terminal

I have a 2000 Volkswagen Jetta manual 5 speed 2.0 motor. when I turn the key it wont make no noise or crank up. all the lights still come on. I can still push crank it. has a brand new starter and battery. But just wont crank.
