is your ABS pump running constantly have you done or had done any brake work in the last year

check your brake peddle try pulling it back out a bit it could be stuck down. also try checking for any broken switchs cases or wires while your down there. seems like a good place to start. if not you could try checking the abs pump. pull the wireing harness attached to it and check for dmg some of the vw and audi models had a slight problem with burning out a wire there.
