Why won’t my 1997 Jetta start?

My 1997 Jetta won’t start, I can hear a quiet
buzzing coming from the fuel pump when I go to
start the car, all the fuses are fine, I checked the oil,
I just don’t know what’s wrong with it. It will crank
but won’t start
