I have a 99 chevy suburban that will not go in gear foward or reverse need help

Before you spend any money at a transmission shop, make sure it's not just linkage. it maybe, hopefully is just that, not going in to gear, not a bad tranny

burned clutches need to overhaul..also check torque converter after finishing trans overhaul

you may want to check the shift stick it might need some tightened. and if it hits to neural and still wont change it might need some oil or the last option is to check the clutches.
