99 lumina lights

i have a 99 chevy lumina and as soon as i start it the headlights are on, and
cant turn them off no matter what i do. any ideas on what the problem is?

Do you mean the daytime running lamps? Or, it could be that the ambient light sensor is broken or always sending the "it's dark outside" signal to turn on the automatic lights. If they turn off when you turn the car off, I wouldn't worry about it.

I know the 2000 Silverado has a thing where if you Triple tap the dome overide button then it would turn off the headlights and running lights does the lumina have anything similar?
