How do I know if my 99 Chevy cavalier is 2.2 or 2.4 and how to I know if it's a three speed or 4 speed

If original engine, look at the vin. Usually, inside corner of driver dash. Look at it from the outside, through windshield. eight digit should be engine code. code 4 is 2.2L, code T is 2.4L
