hi everyone   i have a 1989 celica gt-s with a bad 3s-ge in it .... spun rod bearing
so ive decided to go the extra mile and save for the 3s-gte (MR2) $1600

i know i cant just throw and engine in and bolt it up and start it
i know i need other things ECU and such and ive researched

i know for a fact that the 3s-gte engine fits but the tranny is my only problem i heard the mr2 tranny has different lines so they wont match up but i heard the camry v6 tranny will bolt right up

3s-gte from a 1989-1993 celica gt4 (known as all track in the states) should bolt right on to your original gearbox.

scrap that thought ..... i found another 3s-ge to throw in so ill just stick with that so atleast i know about my engine in my car ...
