Question type: Car Customization

Does anybody know where i could find someone that put a 22-re engine in my celica. can it even be done? My car currently has a 3s-fe engine in it that sucks!

sorry mate the 3s-fe is a east-west front drive configuration and the 22re is north south and rear drive- and won't suit it- plus it'd cost a shitload and the 22re is just a shitty truck motor anyway- not really worth it. (ive owned both motors) best bet would be to swap in the 3s-ge (more aggresive wide angle twin cam head) good for 110kw ish.... or go the whole hog and put the turbo variant in, the 3s-gte... lot of potential there. they run them in the 500kw JGTC supras

FWD started in 1986 with the st162 celica. before that they were of the xA6x chassis and RWD...
