I PAID $3553 FOR NY TOYOTA CELICA LT , THE BOTTOM OF THE CELICAS AT THAT TIME. IT WAS FULLY EQUIPT AND I LOVED IT UNTIL IT WAS STOLEN IN, 1981. I STILL GOT $ 25OO FOR IT FROM THE INSURANCE COMPANY. I ALSO HAD A 1981CELICA. I THINK THE 81 LOOKED BETTER, BUT WASN'T AS GOOD ON GAS I GOT 37 M.P.G. ON THE HWY. WITH THE '74. I GOT 30 M.P.G. WITH THE '81, WHICH ALSO GOT STOLEN.

I had two 74. I bought one for 400.00 and the other for 600.00 I bought them back in the 80's. I always regret selling them. I used to fly on those cars. good gas millage and easy to fix.If you needed an engine, you could get one for 200 box. I could drop the transmission by my self in no time. Good old days.
