1980 Accord headlights stopped working

Asked by 1980accordnz Jul 23, 2014 at 06:08 AM about the 1980 Honda Accord 4 DR Sedan

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I drive a 1980 Accord Sedan. Today, without warning, the headlights stopped working. The beam was not working as well. Weirdly howevver, flicking the beam still works, so bulbs, fuses etc seem to be fine. I suspect it to be a problem with the cables just behind the light/indicator switch in the steering column. Has anybody got a solution?

did you actually check the bulbs? your high beams probably still work but your low beams may be the problem.

Thanks for the quick answer. I did check them and they are working perfectly. That's why I have basically no clue what the reason is.

when you have the lights on use a voltmeter or test light to see if there is power going to the lights.
