Lowering seat on 1994 Mercedes SL-320

Asked by wxyz Apr 02, 2014 at 11:00 AM about the 1994 Mercedes-Benz SL-Class SL 320

Question type: General

On SL - 320 Mecesdes 1994 can the front drivers seat be lowered 1 - 2 inches more
than the factory setting. More head room is needed even with power seat at lowest
setting.I would like to have 1 - 2 inches more head room.
I can take seat and and do a modification if I know someone here that did it before.
Please let me know as I want to buy this car I am looking at but need the head room.
Used to have a porsche 944 plenty of head room.

I'm 6'4" and I know the problem- lowering the seat is a difficult process- more likely easier to get more travel out of it and move it back- easier yet to put the seat back rake lower down- you can always buy aftermarket seats like Recaros- easiest of all is just pass on the car and get something that fits-
