A 2001 Benz ML320, the original register color is silvier and in 2012, the color changed to Tan. Dealer said the car is always in Tan. Anyone has any clue on this "color change" issue?

Colour codes are what you must go on. Back then"tan silver" was called desert silver or smoke silver. By the way painters say those are the worst colours to match.
