VIN number not being accepted

I have the correct vin for my car, but your site says it's invalid. Why is this and
how can we fix it.

If the VIN has a O or I, you want to replace it with the number 0 or 1

My VIN is not being recognized by the Mercedes ME app. It has a O so I tried 0 - same results. Any other suggestions? It is a 2018 GLC 43 AMG
