where is the sensor located at that starts the fans when car heats up

I got this from AutoZone... on their website, click on "Repair Info"... then follow the links, put in your vehicle info... and it will give you a list of your sensors and where they are located... there's other useful repair info there as well... also... join W-Body.com... lots of very helpful people who are W-body enthusiasts... For My Car: 1990 Chevrolet Lumina-Sedan/Coupe 3.1L MFI OHV 6cyl The Cooling Fan Switch is located: Under hood, passenger side, front engine area, mounted in lower part of radiator The Coolant Temperature Sensor is located: Under hood, center, upper engine area, driver side of intake manifold, below rear side of water outlet, mounted in intake manifold The Radiator Cooling Fan Motor Relay is located: Under hood, passenger side, front side of strut tower, mounted in relay block
