Timing chain

Asked by GuruXVVB5 Oct 15, 2018 at 11:15 AM about the 2004 Mercedes-Benz C-Class C 230 Kompressor Coupe

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My car is showing no symptoms of needing a new
timing chain but I've heard that it is advisable to
replace the chain around 100k miles . I'd like to
know the % danger involved in it jumping resulting
in engine damage before  having the  quite
expensive replacement done.
