I have problems with the automatic shifting transmission in my 2001 C249 class.

Asked by gilibeans_76 Dec 10, 2015 at 09:24 PM about the 2001 Mercedes-Benz C-Class C 240 Sedan

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

When I start the car, the car shifts normally for a while, they it stops shifting. If I turn off the car and restart, it wil shift normally again only to stop shifting again after a while.  Could you give some ideas?  It has been recommende to replace the ABS module, what do you think?

If the ABS light is on,then yes it may be the module, but if it is not on,you may need to change the transmission filter and add new tranny fluid.
