Outcome of putting heads on backwards

Asked by Erik Sep 12, 2020 at 11:45 PM about the 2004 Dodge RAM 2500 Laramie Quad Cab 4WD

Question type: General

If I put my heads for my 5.7 on say in reverse the
left one on the right side and the left on right would
that make the  push rods not fit like they are too
long???? And what would the out come be.

1 Answer

Apparently the heads are handed unlike a lot of cars where they are reversible. Can't say for sure what the results would be if you installed them incorrectly but you need to put them back on the correct sides.
