Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2003 Dodge 2500 With a 5.7 Hemi and the 35 gallon tank. My
promblem is that the truck was running and then just quit. I tapped the side
of the tank and it would start and run fine for awhile then stop again. I would
tap side of tank again and it would start and run fine again. Figured the pump
was bad so I replaced it. Truck ran fine for about four hours and the the
same thing started happening again. Thought maybe got a bad pump so I
replaced it again and this time it only ran for about five miles down the road.
I'm out of ideas, any help would be appreciated

When you had the pump out did you look inside the tank to make sure there was nothing in it that maybe being sucked in by pump cutting of gas flow.
